Workspace versions for MacOS are pretty specific as to the OS version, so rolling back to a previous version of Workspace may be difficult.

If you're running a recent version of Workspace, connecting to an outdated environment won't work due to the fact that Citrix have deprecated old SSL Ciphers that are deemed unsafe. A lot of this is dependent upon the environment you're connecting to, are they running recent versions of the Citrix Backend components and assuming there is a Netscaler in the picture, is that fairly up to date.

I will add that I've had a few people that while using Safari they could not connect, found that using Chrome, the applications would launch, so that's worth a try if you haven't already. Not a desirable situation, but one I have to support. I know we have users (running Windows) where we've had to roll them back to an older version of the software so that they can access a third-party Citrix environment. At any rate, you need to open a ticket with your company IT team to see if they can offer any suggestions, it's possible that they've not kept the company Citrix environment up to date and your version of Citrix Workspace no longer supports the older SSL ciphers still being used in your environment. With many companies sending workers home to work, your companies IT staff is probably a bit busy as is the case with my group. These are both backend services that you would not have any access to. Netscaler is a gateway device that your company may or may not use, they could be using any manor of load-balancing gateway device, but in any case it would need to properly support the SSL/TLS ciphers being used when your PC connects to the environment. This would have to be done through nuance directly. Alternatively, the programmer told me that you can get the network edition of Dragon-but it’s much more expensive (you must license the server for about 10K and each client access license, aka: CAL or user, for around $2,200). The only work around that the programmers at Nuance provided me with is to use the dictation box and transfer text (there is also a button you would check to keep the text in the clip board). Any application that doesn’t require access through citrix will work. When Dragon is used on a local application like Microsoft word, there is no problem.

If your EHR is connecting through a Ctrix environment, you will run into one particular issue with Dragon Medical practice edition 2: fragmented text into free text areas in the EMR.
